Being a woman in a technology field, I was confused by how big of a deal the “women in tech” thing had become. I came up with a few ideas that took Wired.com (the original host of this article) by storm and won me 200,000 page views and a spot on Wired.com’s front page.

The biggest thrill of this article was seeing all my research and feelings shared by others and read over 200,000 times. I was one of the only GeekMom blog writers to hit the front page of Wired.com at the time which added to the uniqueness of the situation.
